A Soothing Bath Time Ritual for Eczema

Magnesium-rich foods such as nuts and seeds, leafy greens, bananas and dried figs is excellent for Eczema-sufferers as it contributes to good sleep – essential if we want to manage our stress and anxiety levels. But there’s another pleasurable way to to absorb Magnesium Sulfate through the skin – take an Epsom Salt bath!  Magnesium has potent anti-inflammatory properties which makes it very helpful in reducing inflamed eczema lesions as well as relieving itching.

By drawing moisture from eczema-causing bacteria and fungi on the skin, Epsom salt can reduce eczema symptoms by preventing the overgrowth of these pathogens. Therefore, its indirect antimicrobial effect can help heal your eczema.

Epsom salts is also an excellent exfoliant and cleanser. It helps remove dead skin cells and prevent them from clogging the pores of the skin. This cleansing action keeps the skin aerated and removes debris and toxins from the skin, all of which is beneficial to reducing Eczema.

After your bath, apply a soothing and healing oil such as BaoCare’s Eczema SkinCare made with baobab oil, Calendula and Schisandra.
